PageMaps – January

Welcome 2015! It’s a fresh new year with a new beginning. The Ruby Rock-it design team were invited as guest designers for Page Maps this lovely month of January.

I have two cards to share using our Handi Scandi collection paired with the lovely supplies from Elizabeth Craft Designs :

Congratulation cards with a pair of cute glittery owls. The die cut the words out like butter and all I did was layer two die cuts together for more dimension.

 photo Congrats_Card_29Sept14_zpsbd582bbe.jpg

 photo Congrats2_Card_29Sept14_zps2b18687c.jpg

The second card can be used as a Birthday card or an encouragement card. I used the Peel off stickers and watercolor paper from Elizabeth Crafts. The balloon sticker outlines can out easier and all I had to do was stick them on the watercolor paper and paint away. So fancy cutting later, I had pretty balloons for my card. I add a strip of our lovely vellum for some shimmer.

Here is a close up of the balloons:

Believe In Adventure

I can’t wait to share this layout with you. I “heart” the Handi Sandi line and the colors just make me so happy. The deep blue pattered paper really eye catching and draws the eye to the layout.

 photo Adventure_SB_31Jul14_zps9f1f7092.jpg

Here are some closeups of the layout:

 photo Adventure2_SB_31Jul14_zps245c2460.jpg

I’ve used a mixture of embellishments from the line and the kraft and glitter work so well together.
 photo Adventure3_SB_31Jul14_zps7cb14fef.jpg

I must say the wood veneers are cute and I like the little bird so much that I made a nest for it out of our blue twine.
 photo Adventure5_SB_31Jul14_zpsaf2554e1.jpg

Of course this layout is now hanging on my living room wall right now. Hope you have been scrapping too.

Stay Positive

Sharing a layout I did for RRBF last month. I wanted to give it a monochromatic feel but I didn’t want to just stick to black and grey shades. Instead, I decided to add one more color to the mix – blue, mixing shades of blue  with just a dash of black and white. The colors complement one and other and everything matched easily.

 photo Positive_SB_4Aug14_zps3283949d.jpg
Here are some closeups of the layout:

 photo Positive4_SB_4Aug14_zpsbdcdae66.jpg

I did add a few gold sequins into the mix just for some shine and you can never get enough of the shiny stuff.

Stay positive and enjoy the day.
