Brothers Always

It’s August and for this month’s over at Ed’s Sketch, we have a new sketch to share.

photo SketchAug13_zpsd7a8867e.jpgHere’s my layout for the challenge: photo BrothersAlways_SB_17Jul13_zps63c113ac.jpgIn order to mimic the stripe down the side of the layout, I sprayed my blue mist onto the Heidi Swapp color magic paper in a downward direction. I totally heart the effects the Color Magic paper has once you add distressed ink (like the browns in the corners ) or mist. The patterns on the paper start appearing just like magic.
photo BrothersAlways3_SB_17Jul13_zps6866c46b.jpgHere I’ve tried my hand at some hand stitching. OK the lines aren’t very straight but I still love the stitch texture it gives. photo BrothersAlways4_SB_17Jul13_zps33ae0f17.jpgI cut out the circles from “All About A Boy” by Echo Park. They are great for laying and the perfect boy color combination.

Here’s a close up of the journalling and don’t the sparkling blue mist droplets add to the charm. photo BrothersAlways5_SB_17Jul13_zps6bd4b9e0.jpgI’ve actually used this Unity sentiment stamp as part of my layout title. Just perfect for this layout don’t you think. :)That’s all for today. Don’t forget to use your sentiment stamps on the layout and submit your layout for the challenge over at the Ed Sketch blog.
